Executive Summaries
The County-wide Community Health Assessment Survey sample is complete!
We have completed the Community Health Assessment survey county-wide sample! Our goal was 185 and we obtained 205 surveys. Thank you to those who went into the community to talk to residents and help collect data.
Our next steps are to analyze the 2022 survey data and develop a report. Due to your efforts, we will be able to compare results to surveys conducted in 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019 and monitor trends. We were unable to complete the door-to-door Comundiad Latina sample, but plan to collect data through web surveys and outreach.
2020 Community Health Assessment Final Report Available
The final 2020 CHA Final report is now available. There is an intentional focus on equity, new chapter on climate change and a more inclusive history of Durham County. An index has been added to the end of the report to make it easier to navigate. None of this would have been possible without the valuable partnership between the Durham County Department of Public Health, Partnership for a Healthy Durham and Duke Health. We also thank all of the writers and survey volunteers for their involvement in the process.
2019 Community Health Assessment Survey Results Reports
The 2019 Community Health Assessment door-to-door survey was the first step in the 2020 Community Health Assessment process. Volunteers, Durham County Department of Public Health and Duke University/Duke Health staff spoke with more than 600 Durham County residents on topics ranging from access to healthcare, food access, housing, discrimination and more.
